Momentary Solitude

The Momentary Solitude

I Stand still;
Perched on my fruit,
That i so long to eat;

The mind is blank,
So full of thoughts;
No plans, no drive,
Chores galore, yet to do.

Give me a moment,
Just to be still ;
To be away, from the nest,
And the chicks ;

To take in the green, and the blue around ,
To feel the red glow, of the sun above;
To take a lung full of fresh air,
And count the ticking time within;

Let the moment, linger on,
A bit more; and then,
A bit more, and a moment more !
