My Mate

I have my Mate.

Who knows me,

Cares for me;

Well, loves me

Values me, and treats me,

Well!

Not just enough to,

Bring a smile:

But to make my heart,

Go brim with joy;

Heals me!

Makes me feel,

May be, the wait

Was worthwhile;

Holds me,

In an embrace;

To let know,

I am not far, from his gaze;

Even if Life has plans,

To drift us away;

Know that, i felt 

A lifetime of love!

All that 5 mins,

Of This Day;

I was happy.

I was speechless,

I was overwhelmed;

I was joyous,

I was emotional:

I was smiling.

To think that,

I mattered to someone;

To have put that effort,

Just for me!

And man, 

How musical was it!

Never felt so loved,

In all my 40 yrs!
